Education
With the understanding that students learn best through experience, MMA's Education Department aims to provide excellent, hands-on learning opportunities that engage children, young adults, families, and adults in science. The diverse ecosystems of Nantucket serve as the classroom and the means to awaken our students' interest in marine science, natural science, astronomy, field research, and environmental stewardship.
MMA is dedicated to helping our students achieve the following goals:
* Developing students' knowledge and interest in the outdoor world
* Connecting students to our local environment through explorations, investigations, and field research
* Inspiring youth, families, and adults to discover ways that they can work to protect our natural world
Check our calendar regularly for our latest programs, classes, workshops, field trips, and more!
