Ocean Explorers

Eco-Investigators, ages 10-12

July 19-July 23 

Daily Monday-Friday 8:50am-3pm (also offered the weeks of July 19 and August 9)

$400 members, $475 non-members

The Eco-Investigators will experience local ecological research through active participation. They will be introduced to environmental stewardship and discover ways to help with local issues.. 

Class description for Ocean Explorers: Snorkel the harbor, seine for fish, learn about wind and weather from aboard a sailboat, collect sea creatures, sail on a seal searching cruise, fish for blues, and create an aquarium display for the MMA's Aquarium in this intense exploration of marine ecology.

Class details: Meets at the Nantucket Elementary School for bus transportation to each day's teaching site. On the day of seal cruise, class may run until 4, parents will be notified accordingly.
